BLEEDING BRAKES

Brake bleeding is the process of removing trapped air from a vehicle’s brake system to ensure consistent and reliable brake performance. Air can enter the brake lines during repairs, fluid changes, or due to leaks, and since air is compressible, it can cause a soft or spongy brake pedal. Bleeding the brakes restores full hydraulic pressure by flushing out the air and replacing it with fresh brake fluid. This process is essential for safe braking and should be done whenever the brake system is opened or shows signs of reduced effectiveness.
